Provo City owns and operates a 21.0 MGD Activated Sludge Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), with current annual average daily flows of approximately 13.0 MGD. The WRF utilizes primary and secondary clarification, headworks screening and grit removal, activated sludge aeration basins, gravity filters, UV disinfection, primary and secondary anaerobic digesters and centrifugal dewatering. The biosolids from the centrifuges are land applied at an approved UDEQ location. The WRF has onsite drying beds where the biosolids are staged for a time prior to transport and land application. The scope of this project generally includes the removal of all sludge, grit, sand, rags, plastics, grease, and other miscellaneous debris from the digesters to an onsite drying bed located approximately 1000 ft from the digesters; Hydro-washing of the interior of the digesters, including all confined space and safety equipment and procedures, mobilization and demobilization, and all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for cleaning the digesters. Provo City requests Contractor's Solicitation Statements (Statement) for cleaning and rehabilitation of one (1) Primary and one (1) Secondary Anaerobic Digester, for a total of two (2) digesters. The submittal requirements for the Statement and the evaluation criteria are attached.
