As of July 13, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The bridge repair project on County Road 368 over Porter Lake (Bridge # 560013) is located East of Sopchoppy. The repairs to be included in the construction and CEI services of the bridge repair include removal of debris and vegetation, installation of riprap, improvements to erosion at the abutment and repair of the east and west approach slabs. The repairs will be directed by the County in accordance with the design plans and latest bridge inspection report. The Liberty County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida. All bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Florida Department of Transportation per Section 2-1 of the F.D.O.T. Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2022 edition for: Grading, Drainage and Grassing, Seeding and Sodding. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200.00 per day. Completion date for this project will be 60 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder *The general contractor is still accepting subcontractor pricing, however, the bid may not be used for this specific project and be retained for future bidding opportunities.
