The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking proposals from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to perform an internal condition assessment, using PipeDiver and SmartBall technologies or an approved equal on the 30-inch ductile iron Taft Street force main and the installation of access points on the force main as required for use by the specialty condition assessment firm, insertion and extraction of specialty equipment and installation of external sensor points, maintenance of traffic (MOT), and restoration of disturbed surfaces, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. The Taft Street force main is approximately 3.1 miles long and begins at 9950 Johnson Street, runs east past the City's Water Treatment Plant on Johnson Street to NW 77th Way, runs north to Taft Street, and runs east to the master meter located in the vicinity of NW 73rd Terrace. The condition assessment results will allow the City to potentially identify problematic areas along the force main route and conduct repairs, if necessary, as well as to schedule long-term rehabilitation work and/or replacement. The intent is for a single Internal Condition Assessment Provider (ICAP) to serve as the lead for all internal condition assessment testing Intent to Bid by Jun 13, 2023 2:00 PM EDT.
