As of July 14, 2023, per owner, a short list of firms has been identified and the top ranking firm is still in negotiation. Design would be approximately nine months. *The previous closed solicitation is listed below for reference. The Town of Woodstock is accepting proposals from a professional services team to provide the necessary planning services to update the Town of Woodstock’s (Town or Woodstock) 2007 Fairview Park Master Plan. The updated plan will provide guidance for both short- and long-range planning for the Larry D. Bradford Fairview Park (LDBFP) by integrating community input and planning standards. The Town anticipates the development of the final draft plan will take approximately 9 months from initiation. The project is expected to include the following items: 1) Review past and related park system planning efforts and community demographics as they relate to the Larry D. Bradford Fairview Park 2) Update an inventory of existing parks (to include pocket parks), amenities and provide high-level conditions report for each. 3) Develop and implement a public participation and engagement strategy for the process. 4) Identify unmet current and future needs in the parks system, including location, scope and budget for each should it be implemented at LDBFP 5) Prioritize and valuate park improvements, development and potential future park acquisitions, with attention on minimizing long term maintenance costs. Identify specific potential grant funding and/or partnership opportunities. 6) Identify staffing, funding needs and strategies. 7) Prepare final document organized such that it can be adopted by the Town of Woodstock.
