You are invited to bid on the remediation of healthy homes repair work for a home located at 807 Elm Drive, Mason City, IA 50401. This work is being financed with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The primary goal of the Cerro Gordo County Healthy Homes Repair Program (HHRP) is to reduce health and safety hazards in housing for low-income families 62 years of age or older, person with disabilities or with children five years of age and under. NTERIOR HEALTHY HOMES SPECIFICATIONS - Windows (Al, A2, A3, A4, Bl, B2, B3, Cl, C2, DI, D4, D5 - Replace windows with new vinyl, Energy Star rated double hung windows. Install new casings on the interior, where necessary, and paint to match existing color. Wrap the exterior trim with aluminum coil stock and apply caulking for a watertight seal. Remove the existing handrail in the basement staircase. Install a new handrail on both the upper and lower set of steps. Finish the railing to match the existing color and ensure that it is at least 42" high. Replace the north entry door with a new steel door slab to fit the existing frame. Make adjustments to the frame to make sure the door opens and closes freely. Replace the basement entry door with new pre-hung steel entry doors. Cut down the existing frame to allow a pre-hung door frame to fit. Install new casing on the interior that is painted to match existing color. Wrap exterior trim with white aluminum coil stock and apply caulking for a watertight seal. Install new doorknobs and deadbolts on both doors.
