Project Overview Applicants must be qualified and able to complete the following work on an energized underground 25 kV electrical distribution system: Visual inspection of pad-mounted equipment (transformer, switchgears, junction boxes, etc.) to include fire ant removal and fire ant treatment application (City-provided). Resurfacing of metal and fiberglass equipment (patching, sanding, priming, and painting). Inspection and repair of Penta head locking mechanism. Removal of landscaping within 3' of equipment. Application of warning stickers (City-provided). Provide year & company inspection sticker (Contractor-provided). Perform items listed under "Additional Services" (on bid form). Data collection through a City furnished laptop computer. The items repaired and maintained will vary based on the areas of greatest need. The contractor will be required to assume the sole responsibility for the complete effort as this IFB requires. The contractor selected for this project shall provide all labor and equipment, including all materials as specified, to accomplish this project within the time spans allocated by City. The City will consider the contractor to be its sole point of contact with regard to contractual matters. Subcontractors are not permitted to perform work under the terms of this contract. The fault indicators to be tested are battery-operated with LED indicators. These are typically manufactured by Horstmann. Specific model may vary. Question Deadline 05/11/2023 at 4:00 PM ET
