The restoration of sparrow pond to its original design that will produce constructed wetlands and adding a sediment forebay. within the pond a new riser structure will be installed as well as a connected outfall to the four-mile stream. Along with the pond work, a maintenance path will be installed as well as minor storm sewer improvements upstream of the pond. this project will disturb approximately 1.95 acres and resides within the Arlington Forest branch watershed. The project is located on both Arlington County property and nova parks property. This project serves to remove the significant amount of sediment that has accumulated over the years and to restore the pond to be a wetland habitat for plant and wildlife. The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of restoration services at Sparrow Pond (the "Project") and all other work shown, described, and required by the Contract Documents (hereinafter "the Work"). The Work shall be performed according to the standards established by the Contract Documents read together as a single specification. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility, at solely the Contractor's cost, to provide sufficient services to fulfill the purposes of the Work. Nothing in the Contract Documents shall be construed to limit the Contractor's responsibility to manage the details and execution of its Work.
