Demolition and site work for a residential development in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
**As of June 7, 2023, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $581,727.50** Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier check or surety bond of a corporation acceptable to the City and in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid presented, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. Each bidder must also submit with his bid a certificate from a responsible surety company stating that the said surety company will provide in the event that he should be the successful bidder, surety bond(s) in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contracted price and subject to such conditions as contained in the specifications. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the required bond(s) and certificates of insurance and to execute the contract within ten (10) calendar days from the award of the contract. Construction must begin within ten (10) calendar days after written notice to do so shall have been given to the Contractor by the Director of Public Works, and shall be carried on regularly and uninterruptedly, at a rate to insure its full completion within the specified calendar days after such notice. If at the time of award of the contract, the successful bidder has one or more contracts for projects with the City or is subsequently awarded a contract for other projects with the City than it will be required to work concurrently on all projects without interruption or delays. City Council reserves the right Google to reject all bids or any part thereof or to award to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, in accordance with applicable law.
