Site work, renovation and addition to a library in Montreal, Quebec. Working plans call library; for the addition of a 19,320-square-foot, three-story above grade library; for the renovation of a 12,000-square-foot, three-story above grade library; and for site work for a library.
Expansion and renovation of Saint-Charles Library heritage building. The scope of the project includes construction of a three-storey expansion that will house additional rooms for adult, general public, family sections, additional premises for for employees and operations, exterior renovation and landscaping work. The project involves renovation of approximately 1,100 square meters in the existing building and the addition of 1,800 square meters for a total area of approximately 2,900 square meters. Note. Upon completion of the renovations, scheduled for 2028, the Saint-Charles library will adopt the name Éva-Circé-Côté, in honour of the city's very first librarian. TIMELINE: Working drawings are underway. Tender for the general contractor is anticipated in spring/summer 2026.
