Site work for a water / sewer project in Bloomington, Minnesota. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of August 31, 2023, an engineer has been identified. The City of Bloomington is seeking proposals for design and construction engineering services for the construction of Well 7. Well 3 is a currently unused municipal water supply well which has reached the end of its useful life. The City wishes to drill a new water supply well (Well 7) in a different location to offset the lost capacity from Well 3. Barr Engineering Co. completed the Well 3 Replacement Feasibility Studay (Appendix A), which resulted in site selection, identification of preliminary permitting requirements, and the selection of a pitless adapter style well. The City is seeking proposals for professional services including the preparation of plans, specifications and contract documents, construction staking, construction administration and observation services. As of May 1, 2023 the City wishes to begin construction in January 2024, therefore construction documents must be complete by the start of October 2023, allowing sufficient time to complete the formal competive bidding process and contract award.
