Description: The Contract is to provide for the preventative maintenance and repair services of the Baggage Delivery System in the Main Terminal Building of Long Island MacArthur Airport, herein after "ISP', as set forth in the specifications section of the Contract Documents. Questions concerning the bid package will be welcomed at the PreBid meeting. Bidders are requested to send an email to Mike Fischer at mfischer@islipny.gov to confirm attendance at the pre-bid conference. A prepaid return shipping label must accompany the fifty-dollar ($50.00) fee if you would like the bid package shipped back to you via an overnight delivery service. Please include the name, phone number, e-mail address and fax number of contact person from your company responsible for this bid to facilitate delivery of any addendum and for the pre-bid conference. . Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount and made payable to the Town ofIslip. No bid will be accepted by e-mail or facsimile. Late bids will not be accepted. No responsibility shall attach to any person or persons for premature opening of bids not properly labeled or sealed. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or part, to waive any informality in any or all bids and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Town. No bid shall be withdrawn, nor price increased, for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected or no bids are received, the Department ofPurchasing is authorized to readvertise for bids. In the event bids are rejected or at least two are not received the Department of Purchase is authorized to readvertise for bids. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
