Scope of the Work:Install, Repair, or Replace Traffic Barrier at Various Locations in Anne Arundel County. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon latest the electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. Performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid, unless otherwise stated in the IFB. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00, unless otherwise stated in the IFB. No paper bids will be accepted for this Contract. In order to submit bids, bidders must: designate an individual to submit bids on behalf of the bidding entity, register with Bid Express, during registration select Maryland Department of Transportation as the referring Agency, have a paid subscription to Bid Express' Internet Bidding Service, obtain an Info Tech Digital ID and request to bid in Maryland. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
