Renovation of a museum in Black Hawk, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,385-square-foot, two-story above grade museum.
Lace House: 1860’s historic 2-story wood-frame 1,385 SF residential home museum. The property was renovated to be a historic home museum in 1975. In 2008 the 2-story wood-frame structure was relocated roughly ½ mile within City of Black Hawk city limits. Rehabilitation and preservation of the historic building will include installation of new HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Connecting to existing utility stub-ins. Installation of interior storm windows and weather-stripping existing doors. Replacement and repair of limited interior wall, floor and ceiling finishes. Insulation and condition the crawl space.
