Note: the existing East Greenhouse is 30'x60'. This project will install another identical unit, doubling the size of the Greenhouse to 60'x60'. The Greenhouse Addition building package has been purchased by the University from the same manufacturer and is stored on site. The scope of the Base Bid Work, without limiting the generality thereof, shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supervision to: perform site work including adding concrete reinforcement to existing concrete tube footings, new concrete tube footings, stone swale, minor finish grading; install the Greenhouse Addition including disassembly and removal of existing polycarbonate and vent system (including motor and driveshaft) on existing Greenhouse south wall, (salvage, stockpile, protect from weather, store on site for reuse), erection of Greenhouse Addition steel framing including installation of new roof vent system and re-installation of south wall vent system, installation of 4 provided fans on truss chords, installation of additional structural reinforcement of the Existing Greenhouse purlins, installation of new polycarbonate wall panels; and any other work as described in the project documents. This project does not include Electrical or HVAC Work, but does include work to relocate an existing exterior frost-proof hydrant. The scope of the Add Alternate #1 Work, without limiting the generality thereof, shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supervision to: perform site work inside the existing greenhouse to provide an accessible stone dust path 4' wide and 60' long between the existing doors. The Estimated Cost is $85,000.00
