A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The purposes of this investigation were to explore the subsurface conditions and to develop geotechnical recommendations for the proposed concrete pavement roadway with curb and gutter and with modified inlets to roadside ditches, bridges foundation, and underground storm sewer construction for the design of Chimney Rock Boulevard from FM 2234 to Rosa Parks Elementary in Fort Bend County, Texas. The scope of this investigation consisted of the following tasks: drilled and sampled four (4) - 80-foot borings for bridges construction with two each at Mustang Bayou and American Canal Crossings two (2) - 40-foot borings for storm drains at swale; and thirteen (13) - 16-foot borings for storm sewer construction and pavement design. performed appropriate laboratory tests, including California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tests, on selected representative soil samples to develop the engineering properties of the soil; performed engineering analyses to develop geotechnical recommendations for the bridges foundation for Mustang Bayou and American Canal, and construction of storm sewer and rigid pavement; and prepared a geotechnical report including field and laboratory data and engineering recommendations. This project is subject to the prevailing wage rate requirements of Chapter 2258 of the Government Code. All persons employed by Contractor shall be compensated at not less than the rates shown below. Contractor shall keep detailed records of each of its workers and said records shall be made available to County for inspection at all reasonable times. The Contractor shall pay Fort Bend County sixty dollars ($60.00) for each worker employed by the Contractor for the provision of services described herein for each calendar day or part of the day that the worker is paid less than the below stated rates. Contractors may also visit. All bidders must submit, WITH BID, a cashier's check or certified check for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the order of Fort Bend County, or a Bid Bond in the same amount issued by a surety, acceptable to Fort Bend County, authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as a guarantee that the Bidder will do the work described herein at the rates stated herein.
