The University is seeking proposals for services in the areas listed below. Work will be on an as-called basis. The shop manager or designee responsible for overseeing the service will initiate the call and represent the University accordingly. Both planned and unplanned maintenance work will be covered by the Contract. Services are normally scheduled during regular business hours but may be needed on an emergency basis after hours and on weekends and holidays. Upon request, Contractors may be required to provide materials to perform the work. The Contractor agrees to perform the Scope of Work as described in Attachment A, which may be amended from time to time by mutual consent of the parties in writing, and is hereby incorporated. The University of Maine will hereinafter be referred to as the "University." Respondents to the Request for Proposals (RFP) shall be referred to as "Respondent" or "Respondent(s)." The Respondent to whom the contract is awarded shall be referred to as the "Contractor." Further Contractor shall be understood to include all employees of the Contractor assigned to perform work under the Contract. The University of Maine System and other components of the University shall be referred to as "MultiInstitutional."
