the City of Paso Robles is seeking proposals from qualified contractors ("Respondent") to design and install holidays lights in the trees and on the structures in historic, downtown City Park. All proposals should include lighting that is not holiday specific, but instead transforms the park into a festive environment, showcasing its unique features, and benefiting both the community and visitors. All questions and requests for interpretations or clarifications must be submitted in writing to the City by emailing Freda Berman, Public Works Director, at fberman@prcity.com. Verbal statements regarding this RFP by any persons should be considered unverified information unless confirmed in writing. To ensure a response, questions must be received by 5:00 p.m. local time on Monday, May 15, 2023. Work Description - Installation Lighting shall be installed, tested and fully operational by 5 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving. - Contractor shall provide automatic timers for lights except as discussed with the City for opening night lighting ceremony. Timers are to be set from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. - The City is responsible for any necessary tree trimming. Contractor shall not, unless having received written permission from the City, trim any trees. The Contractor shall notify the City should it become apparent that trimming is necessary for any reason. The City will provide a trimming schedule.
