sealed bids for the construction of the project entitled Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade - Division A - Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Facility. The bidding process will be conducted in two (2) stages. Stage 1 will be for major equipment and components of the upgrade and Stage 2 will be for installation of all equipment components for a complete and operational plant upgrade. There will be a scheduled bid date and time set for each stage and pre-bid conferences. Pre-Bid conference attendance is non-mandatory for submitting bids. The Facility Upgrade Division A work shall be to increase the treatment capacity of the existing plant from a 0.7452 MGD Facility to a 1 MGD average monthly flow and a 3 MGD peak facility. The existing facility consists of an Aeration Pond, a Facultative Pond and a Polishing Pond. These existing ponds are proposed to remain. A new plant site is proposed approximately 900' southeast of the existing plant headworks. All work for Division A is to be conducted at either the existing facility site or the proposed new site all approximately one-mile southeast of downtown Wrightsville, Johnson County, Georgia. Major plant upgrade equipment or components consists of: - Mechanical Bar Screen and Washing Compactor - Package Influent Sanitary Pump Station - Hoist and Trolley for Influent Pump Station - Magnetic Flow Meters (14" Influent FM and 10" By-pass FM) - Tank/Basin Round Prestressed Concrete Vessels (2 each 80'-6" ID, 1 each, 70' ID and 1 each 54' ID) - Package SBR System - Bulk Chemical Tanks (Alum and Caustic) with chemical feed pump systems - Tertiary Filtration (Self Cleaning Cloth Media Disk) - Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection (3 each parallel open channel(s) - Parshall Flume with Ultrasonic Effluent flow measurement. - Effluent Refrigerated Automatic Composite Samplers - Package Re-Use (wash-down) Pumping Station - Sludge Belt Press Package - Package In-Plant Sanitary Lift Station -Engine Driven Generator Set (2 each) with transfer switch & sub-base fuel tank - Motor Control Center (MCC) - Effluent Pump Station & Electrical Major Construction Items Consists of: - Access road into new plant site with double 5' wide x 4' deep concrete box culvert - Site Development at existing headworks - Site Development at new plant site -Influent Forcemain from headworks site to new plant site (HDD underneath wetlands) - Sanitary Sewer diversion line from existing discharge point to Headworks -Buildings (Control Building, Chemical Feed Building, Blower Building, UV Building and Sludge Press Building) - Process Yard Piping - Take and Accept delivery of all major equipment or components from Stage One (1) process - Plant upgrade start-up services along with coordination with Division B contractor. Division B work consists of Effluent Pump station along with 16" forcemain piping (+3.2 miles) from Effluent PS to cascade aeration structure and an 18" gravity line (1335') from cascade aeration site to the proposed new Ohoopee River discharge location. Division A contractor will coordinate all related work efforts with a Division B contractor and vice versa for a timely facility start-up. Division A work and Division B work will be bid separately but work is expected to progress concurrently.
