The work generally consists of removal work and new work. Refer to the drawings for more detailed information. 1. Removal Work: Removal work to include, but not be limited to, an exterior mechanical yard screen wall, doors, soffit, sidewalk, various ceilings, downspouts, insulation, hazardous material, existing air conditioning and ventilation systems and their sub-systems; existing electrical systems, luminaires, fire alarm and their sub-systems; all incidental accessories, hardware, and supports as indicated or described in drawings, and miscellaneous related work. 2. New Work: New work to include, but not be limited to, the installation of a new exterior mechanical yard screen wall, doors, soffit, sidewalk, various ceilings, downspouts, insulation, concrete housekeeping equipment pads, painting work, and air monitoring work. Provide new air conditioning and ventilation systems and all incidental accessories, supports, and hardware as indicated and specified hereinafter. Provide new electrical power, luminaires, and fire alarm systems as indicated in drawings. Bids received after the due time and date will not be considered. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1 million. All interested parties are invited to attend a voluntary pre-bid meeting and the State conducted site visit. No other time for a site inspection will be scheduled or allowed. Bidders shall comply with all access requirements of the facility or the User Agency. Each Bidder shall bring their own flashlight and small tools that may be required to inspect the premises. The estimated value of the public works contract is $250,000 or more and the apprenticeship agreement preference pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes 103-55.6 (ACT 17, SLH 2009) shall apply. Campaign Contributions by State and County Contractors Prohibited. If awarded a contract in response to this solicitation, offeror agrees to comply with HRS section 11-355, which states that campaign contributions are prohibited from a State and County government contractor during the term of the contract if the contractor is paid with funds appropriated by the legislative body, at any time between the execution of the contract through the completion of the contract.
