The work will be completed and ready for final payment within ninety (90) calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences. The Town anticipates awarding this contract and issuing a Notice to Proceed beginning of June 2023 and all work regarding this contract must be completed by September 2023. This project is a single-phased project consisting of complete pavement reconstruction on Niagara Falls Boulevard and asphalt parking lot repair per the attached drawings and NYSDOT specifications. The project area consists of cold patch in the trench over compacted subbase and existing parking lot areas to be milled and repaved per the limits shown and supplied. The Contractor shall include all labor, material, equipment and incidentals required to saw-cut, excavate and/or mill, and install the pavement section and parking lot section per attached drawings. Prior to excavation, the Contractor shall be responsible to contact underground utilities. This work shall also include a thorough cleaning of the designated area(s), including around all manholes, curbs and catch basins. Contractor shall, at his cost, remove all millings, spoils and loose materials from the site. After cleaning, all areas to be paved must be rendered dry by manual means or otherwise. Where applicable, all areas to be paved will be tack-coated and dried prior to placement of heated asphalt materials. Binder (Type 3) and Top (Type 7F) shall then be applied as directed via paver-placement, making every effort to achieve positive drainage. Wherever possible, all paved areas shall be properly compacted by roller. All other paved areas must be compacted by mechanical tamper. All areas shall be graded to match existing pavement and achieve positive drainage. The Contractor shall include all labor, material, equipment and incidentals required to re-stripe the parking spaces per attached drawing. Please note that a portion of the above activities will take place on a State owned road and a permit from NYSDOT is required to complete the work within the road. As such, the Contractor will be responsible to maintain two lanes open at all times and use of appropriate traffic controls (i.e. barricades, cones, flagmen) during the project (standard details provided).
