Renovation of a fire / police facility in Melrose, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
As of November 15, 2023, bids came in above their expected budget for the project. At this time, the project is not expected to be rebid. The Melrose Fire District, Town of Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, New York, intends to construct a new fire station of approximately 10,664 square feet with associated site work at 784 NY-40, Melrose, New York 12121 and is seeking sealed bids for the following four (4) bid packages: general construction, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing and electrical. This is a public work project and is subject to General Municipal Law Article 5-A. Bid security in the form of a 5% bid bond issued by an acceptable surety, bank or certified check payable to the Melrose Fire District is required. The Melrose Fire District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, re-advertise for new bids, waive any irregularities in bidding and to accept the bid that is the most responsible for the residents of the Fire District.
