The City of College Park ("City") is requesting proposals for the removal and proper disposal of the existing metal rib-loc metal roof system roof and provision and installation of a new rib-loc or multi-rib metal roof system at the City's Department of Public Works Truck Garage, located at 9217 51st Avenue, College Park, Maryland 20740. The Proposal shall also include a 50-year metal manufacturer's warranty and a 10-year workmanship (labor) warranty. The contractor shall be required to maintain the existing building affected by construction operations in a weather-tight condition throughout the construction period. The City will be required to utilize the existing building during the entire construction period to retrieve parts and equipment stored in the current garage structure. Ingress to and egress from the entire garage must remain unobstructed during construction. The contractor must coordinate with the City of College Park, Department of Public Works during construction operations to minimize conflicts and facilitate the use and occupancy as needed by City staff. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in the best interest of the City. The intent of this Project is to remove and dispose of the existing metal roof and provide and install a new metal roof with a Rib-Loc or Multi-Rib metal roofing system and material or equivalent to match the existing metal roof with a 50-year manufacturers warranty and 10 year workmanship warranty.
