Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

The project site is located at the City of Ames Community Center, City Hall, 515 Clark Ave, Ames, IA 50010. The work is to provide materials and installation for new flooring with the aerobics room on the 2nd Floor of City Hall. Work to be performed August 7 through August 17, 2023 during the Community Center's summer maintenance schedule. Written questions and requests for alternate products will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. CST on May 10, 2023. Said questions are to be submitted in AmesBids. If the accepted bid is over $25,000, the selected Contractor will be required to provide a performance and payment bond equal to the total bid amount. Contractor will include the cost of the performance and payment bond in the bid. Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of its contract price. Said bond shall be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City's Risk Manager and shall guarantee faithful performance of the contract and terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee prompt payment of material and labor and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by operations of the contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the work in good repair for a period of one (1) year from and after the completion and acceptance by the City. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
