The Town requests bidders to supply a Lump Sum bid, with all equipment and labor necessary to perform Gravel Crushing of various piles of town - owned material (asphalt, concrete, boulders, gravel, concrete pipe, etc.). Material estimates: 1 Asphalt = Approximately 800yd3 2 Concrete = Approximately 420yd3 3 Mixed Pile = Approximately 2870yd3 4 Approximately 20-30 Catch Basin tops 5 Approximately 40-50 6' lengths of concrete pipe All piles are located at 12 Scovill St, New Milford, CT. All measurements, supplied by the Town or otherwise, are a rough estimate and are subject to change as material is brought into yard daily. Bidders are highly encouraged to visit the site by scheduling an appointment with Michael Boucher, Highway Foreman, Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. He may be reached at 860-355-6045. The contractor will be permitted to measure piles and bid as per those measurements. Highway Foreman or his designee must be present while this process is completed. The contractor shall perform all work specified, including furnishing of all materials, supplies, transportation, labor and all other things necessary for the satisfactory completion of this project. The Town requires that the work be completed no later than June 30, 2023. A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled for this project. The Town of New Milford is soliciting competitive bids from qualified firms for gravel materials crushing services.
