The area of work shall be all vinyl composition tile located within Paine Elementary School. This will include any and all VCT areas including classrooms, hallways, offices, lunchroom office, gym loft area, janitor closets and bookroom, etc. Rooms on the attached map with red "X" are not to be waxed. The work schedule for the strip and wax shall be submitted and agreed upon in writing by the Bidder, the Principal, and the Facility Coordinator before May 26 of each school year. Allowed work hours shall be from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm 7 days per week. The process should remove soil and the current floor finish by agitating a cleaning solution using a power scrubber. The floor should be rinsed to remove residue and then four even coats of wax applied to the floor. Cleaning solution and wax should be carefully applied to avoid baseboards and walls. Once the area is clean and buffed to exhibit a high shine all contents (all furniture (with care), including desks, chairs, tables, equipment, etc.) will be returned to their original location by the bidder. The bid will be awarded to the lowest bidder meeting specifications. Trussville City Schools reserves the right to reject any and or all bids and to waive informalities in awarding this bid to the lowest responsible bidder.
