The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority ("Owner") is requesting separate sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the Taxiway Whiskey Pavement Rehabilitation (the "Project") at Huntsville International Airport, located in Huntsville, Alabama. ll bids must be sealed and marked in the lower left-hand corner "Sealed Bid - Taxiway Whiskey Pavement Rehabilitation" with the opening time and date. Bidder must be an Alabama General Contractor licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors for Alabama pursuant to Alabama Code Section 34-8-1, et seq. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of bid opening will be considered. Bidder must place his/her current license number on the outside of his/her sealed bid or otherwise Bidder's bid shall be rejected. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened. Pre-qualification of bidders is not The Project will consist of: Mill & Overlay of Taxiway Whiskey full-strength asphalt from just North of W6 to the northern end Mill & Overlay portions of full-strength asphalt on Taxiway Connectors W1-W5 Surface treatment application on shoulders of Taxiway Whiskey and Taxiway Connectors W1-W5 Joint and crack repair on all milled pavements throughout the project Crack cleaning and sealing on all unmilled pavements throughout the project Re-alignment and fillet re-construction of Taxiway W/W1 Taxiway lighting removal and re-installation Taxiway directional sign removal and replacement Various other improvements Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount, as shown on the proposal form, which shall be made payable to Owner and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the bid documents. A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. This project is anticipated to be financed through a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and will be subject to all requirements of the FAA as of the time the contract is awarded, including the federally required contract clauses to be made part of the contract documents for the Project. Contractors and subcontractors working on this Project will be required to use E-Verify to electronically verify the employment eligibility of their employees. Award is contingent upon the availability of Federal funds. This Project is also subject to compliance with the Alabama Immigration Act. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration, which pertain to this project, and to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
