Work to include, but not limited to, supply and construction work for interior space improvements, new crew break room, rated deck mezzanine for added automotive storage, interior and exterior door and window installations, counters and cabinets, new mezzanine stairwell, HVAC mechanical, electrical and lighting improvements, communication/data installations and plumbing work as required and described in the contract plans and technical specifications for the project. The WORK must be completed within 120 calendar days from the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. The failure to furnish a bid deposit of a minimum of 5 percent shall make the bid non-responsive and shall cause the bid to be rejected by the Contracting Agency The successful bidder will also be required to provide a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the Contract Price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bremerton. The City of Bremerton reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine which bid or bidders is the most satisfactory and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof. No plea of mistake in the bid shall be available to the bidder for the recovery of his/her deposit or as a defense to any action based upon the neglect or refusal to execute a contract.
