The NDDOT is accepting bids on hay bales abandoned on I-94 east of Bismarck. There are approximately one hundred hay bales put up last fall by an Interstate hay contractor and currently located on I-94 east of Bismarck. The successful bidder will have 2 weeks from the award of the contract to remove the bales from the interstate highway. The successful bidder cannot load from directly on the Interstate roadway and must follow all Hay Harvesting rules. Rules to be provided with bid form. Interested bidders can contact the respective NDDOT district office listed below to obtain a bid document, copy of the Risk Management Appendix, and sample certificate of liability insurance. The REQUEST FOR BID document must be completed, signed in ink, sealed in an envelope marked, "Bids for Standing Hay", and submitted to the respective NDDOT district office prior to the deadline. The awarded bidder will be required to sign a contract with NDDOT agreeing to the terms for hay harvesting.
