Site work for a water / sewer project in Davie, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work consists of adding as much drainage improvement volume possible, regrading and sodding of approximately 35,000 SF of existing swales for the purpose of conveying and storing storm water within the right-of-way. The work will be limited to a portion of SW 148th Avenue near State Road 84 south of the Vista Filare community entrance down to Shotgun Road as shown (Exhibit A). All road restoration shall meet the Town of Davie's Standard Details (Exhibit B). The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools and materials, mobilization and maintenance of traffic that are necessary for the proper layout and completion of the work, as specified herein. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining an Engineering permit and any local, state, or federal agency permits required for this project. The Town will reimburse permit fees obtained from the Town's Engineering department at cost only. Invoices shall be submitted as backup for reimbursement. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals prior to award. Reasonable efforts will be made to either award the contract or reject all proposals within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days after proposals opening date. Upon the filing of a formal written protest the contractor or vendor shall post a bond, payable to the Town of Davie, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid or estimated contract amount, or ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), whichever is less. In the case of unit cost contracts, discount or percentage-based contracts the full ten thousand dollars ($10,000) shall be provided. The bond shall be conditioned upon the payment of all costs which may be adjudged against the protesting contractor or vendor in the event the protest is resolved adversely to the protester. An irrevocable letter of credit or other form of approved security, payable to the Town, will be accepted. Failure to submit a bond simultaneously with the formal written protest shall invalidate the protest and the Town may proceed to award the contract as if the protest had never been filed.
