Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Orange City, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This is a federally assisted project and is subject to Federal Labor Standards which include, the Davis-Bacon Act (payment of prevailing wage rates) and the Copeland Act (anti-kickback of wages & submission of weekly certified payroll reports), as well as other provisions including 24 CFR 85.36 (bonding requirements), and Section 3 & M/WBE. Laborers and mechanics employed by primary contractors and sub-contractors performing construction work on this project shall be paid wages at rates not less than the prevailing rates as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act. The prime contractor is responsible for the enforcement of wage compliance and support documentation for the duration of the project and may be held liable for wage restitution. The applicable information regarding the laws and regulations stated above are included in the bid packet. A. The Scope of works includes, but not limited to the following items: a. All permits and inspections as required by Public Works Department and inspection hold points. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining, managing, and clearing all permits associated with the work to be completed. b. Demolish and removal 20 ft of existing sidewalks that not comply with the FDOT standard. c. Removal and disposal of trees, palms, shrubs or any other vegetation that interferes with the construction of sidewalks. Include trim shrubs as necessary. d. Excavation to install all the proposed sidewalk per Typical Sections details. e. Construct approximately 717 square yards of 4" thick sidewalk and 9 square yards of 6" thick sidewalk (over driveway). The sidewalk shall have a minimum width of 5 feet with a maximum slope of 2% (.02), and must include detectable warning pads. Concrete strength: 3000 psi; w/c = 0.5. f. Construct 2 Flush Shoulder Sidewalk Curb Ramps (Option B). g. Install detectable warning pads. h. Provide pavement markings, where include crosswalk and stop bars. Bid Bond 5% questions or concerns regarding this ITB must be submitted in writing, to David Santiago, Purchasing Administrator not later than 14 calendar days prior to bid due date.
