Roof Repairs for Middlesex College Multi-year Contract. Each project shall have a detailed Scope of Work document prepared for review by the College. The Scope of Work shall detail the materials to be used, the estimated time to complete the work, and any additional information necessary. The College reserves the right to waive this requirement in the event when deemed necessary to respond to an emergency situation. All work will generally consist of: a. inspection or assessment of the roof, damaged areas, etc. to determine the extent of the repairs required; b. clean and prepare roof surface for repair work including removal of any debris, loose materials, or damaged sections; c. repair/replace damaged or deteriorated sections of the roof in accordance with the approved Scope of Work, using appropriate materials and techniques. This may include repairing or replacing shingles, tiles, or other roofing materials, as well as repairing any leaks, cracks, or other damage; d. flashing to be repaired or replaced as necessary to ensure a watertight seal between the roof surface and any adjacent structures, such as walls, vent stacks, chimneys, etc. e. if the roof structure is identified as being damaged or deteriorated, repairs may be required to ensure the structural integrity of the roof. The College will authorize these repairs as may be necessary so long as they are not part of a future capital project. f. application of multiple layers of various coatings and topcoat, as required by the Scope of Work. Questions Due Date: May 2nd 2023, 4:00 PM EDT The contract term shall be from June 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023, with an optional one-year renewal through June 30, 2024. The College reserves the right to exclude any repairs estimated to exceed $5,000.
