Renovation of a library in Long Branch, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The scope of Work contemplated for the abovenamed Project includes major interior renovations such as selective demolition, space reconfigurations, new finishes, upgrades to the building mechanical, electrical (including a new emergency generator), plumbing and fire protection systems, new structural foundations and framing in the Carnegie Wing, and limited improvements to the exterior envelope as well as all other Work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Bidding Documents. The project is governed by a Project Labor Agreement, which is included in the Bidding Documents for reference. The building will be unoccupied during construction and all Work of this Contract shall be completed within 365 Calendar Days from the Notice to Proceed. The deadline for receipt of questions is MONDAY, MAY 15, 2023 AT 4:00 P.M. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders for submission of questions. cket must be completed in the manner designated, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project on the outside and must be addressed to the Long Branch Purchasing Department at the address listed above. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the total bid price shall be supplied in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, but not in excess of $20,000.00 and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of this Project are required. By virtue of Executive Order #34 (1976), vendors currently suspended, debarred or disqualified are excluded from participating on this Project. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the applicable statutory requirements of the Bidding Documents which include all of the following: (i) N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.; (ii) N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.; (iii) Business Registrations (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44); (iv) Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25, et seq.); (v) Public Work Contractor Registration (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48); (vi) Affirmative Action Requirements (N.J.S.A. 10:5-1, et seq.); and (vii) N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16; and any other legal requirements applicable to this Project.No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after opening and the City of Long Branch reserves the right to reject any and all Bids to the extent permitted by law.
