Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Berkley, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Description of Work The project consists of two (2) divisions, described below. Both divisions must be quotes in order for the overall bid to be considered responsive. Division I - Crosswalk Improvements This division includes the construction of sidewalk bump-outs into Coolidge Highway to increase pedestrian safety. The existing pavement and ADA ramp will be removed to construct a raised sidewalk extension and ADA ramp, with crash-rated bollards and relocation of the existing RRFB. Division II - Pavement Marking Improvements This division includes the replacement of all pavement markings along Coolidge, including the intersection markings at major intersections, all symbols and messages and the cross hatching in no-parking areas. In addition, new parking lines will be installed along Coolidge, as well as the transformation of an existing thru lane in the southbound lane of Coolidge north of 12 Mile into a right-only lane.
