Renovation of a medical facility in Surrey, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The new Newton HUB START/YCD/EPI project will be located at Unit 101-108 7635 King George Blvd., Surrey, BC V3W 5B1. The new Newton Hub is anticipated to be approximately 1,039 m2 (11,183 sq ft). The Project will utilize a fast-track methodology with concurrent design and procurement activities using a Construction Management (CM) approach. The design team will prepare and release required design packages to support the early application of demolition, building permits, and material procurement of long-lead delivery items as required. The selected building is a one storey self contained building consisting of concrete block walls, slab on grade and roof open web steel joists on structural steel. There is existing back of house area containing existing electrical distribution equipment. There are 8 existing RTUs units mounted on the roof. Storefront on the south side contains 8 large windows. Landlord is currently in the process of assessing condition of the existing equipment on site and a Tenant baseline repot(s) will be delivered. The space is mostly open with a few interior partitions remaining from the previous tenant. There is no existing ceiling throughout the space.
