Southeast Sewer Catawba Creek Outfall Part 1 (Contract 5A) Mailed sealed Bids for the construction of the Southeast Sewer Catawba Creek Outfall Part 1 (Contract 5A) will be received by the City of Gastonia, in the office of Margo Tauzel, Project Administrator, P.O. Box 1748, Gastonia, NC 28053 or 150 S. York Street, Gastonia, NC 28052 if using courier service. Hand delivered Bids just prior to Bid Opening will be received in Room 131 of the Garland Center, 150 S. York Street, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of construction of approximately 6,800 linear feet of 27-inch thru 36-inch gravity sanitary sewer, 3,450 linear feet of 12-inch gravity sanitary sewer, and 650 linear feet each of 18-inch force main and 16-inch waterline, including four linework crossings of Catawba Creek plus the decommissioning of an existing wastewater pump station. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The cost of printed Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
