Site work for an educational facility in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The work contemplated will include the construction of a bioretention area at Neal Middle School and drainage improvements A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $300,000.00. Bids will be evaluated and the Contract will be awarded in accordance with statutory public contract requirements as supplemented or altered by the Minority/Women Business Enterprise Utilization Ordinance of the County of Durham (MWBE). The successful Bidder, upon award of the Contract, shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, waive informalities, and/or accept such bid as appears in its judgement to be in the best interest of the County The successful Bidder, upon award of Contract, shall furnish a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Contract completion time for all work on this project is 170 calendar days. Substantial completion is 75 days for all work shown on construction plans excluding plantings. Plants shall be installed in the timeframe provided in construction plans Questions concerning administrative matters should be directed to Hilda W. Williams, Senior Procurement Specialist, at (919) 560-0054 To ensure a fair bidding process, all other questions from the contractors must be emailed to purchasinggroup@dconc.gov no later than 3:00 P.M., on May 21, 2024. These questions will be addressed in an Addendum.
