The timelines of the bids are subject to change at the discretion of the Modoc County Road Department. All changes will be posted on the Modoc County website Bid(s) shall be submitted typewritten or in ink, no bid will be considered unless it is completed on the forms furnished within the bid package and bears the signature of the Vendor's (Contractor's) agent. Quantities are approximate only, but felt adequate in order for a comparison of bids. The County does not expressly or by implication agree that the actual amount of purchase will correspond therewith. The County has estimated the quantities based on current project estimates, and while adjustments for less or additional quantity are not expected, the County reserves the right to decrease or increase the amount as may be deemed necessary for unforeseen circumstances. Bid amounts submitted on the attached bid forms, shall utilize the compensation adjustments for price index fluctuations and shall include any and all charges including freight charges; however, the bids submitted shall exclude taxes for purposes of bid comparison. The Vendor must submit the Unit Price as "FOB"; however, it should be understood that this material is intended for "on-call" delivery to the location specified and shown on the attached map. Bid will be awarded to the low bidder as follows; lowest total price delivered to point of delivery. Unit prices for delivery to the County for oil, FOB, delivery to the County yard and "on-call" delivery(s) shall be valid for One-hundred eighty (180) days from the date of signed contract. Local bidder preference will not apply to this bid. For "on-call" delivery the Vendor shall be capable of providing asphaltic emulsion(s) delivered either by their own, or other designated sub-contractor within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of notice for delivery by the County. No material shall be delivered until notice has been received by the Vendor from the County; notice requesting delivery may be either written, e-mail, or telephone notification from the County to the Vendor. The Vendor shall be capable of providing product to the County as specified; should delivery or spreading be "other than the company awarded the bid", the Vendor shall arrange for spreading or delivery with the sub-contractor and notify the County of the name of the sub-contractor a minimum of 24 hours prior to said delivery or spreading date. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid received. Nothing in this bid shall be construed to require the County to purchase from the successful Vendor(s) asphaltic emulsion(s) not included on the bid documents and specifications, or accept quantities of less than a truck and trailer load. The County reserves the right to discontinue further purchase should the Vendor fail to perform in accordance with these specifications or conditions set forth on the bid form.
