The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners is requesting proposals from qualified Respondents experienced in providing disaster debris removal services for preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation phases of any natural or man-made disaster or emergency situation within the unincorporated areas of the County. All Respondents shall be qualified and properly registered, to provide disaster debris removal services as appropriate. Responses shall only be considered from those Respondents demonstrating the expertise and experience specified in this request. The County’s intent with this request is to develop a list of those Respondents determined by the Evaluation/Scoring Committee to be qualified and rank those using the scoring matrix into a digressive list from highest scoring to lowest scoring offer, with those disqualified not appearing on the list. The CONTRACTOR(s) shall be responsible for the performance of all of the requirements of this scope of services as ordered by the County. The County may select multiple Respondents to provide the level of capability determined necessary. TERM OF AGREEMENT/CONTRACT: The Term of this Agreement/Contract is expected to be for an initial period of three (3) years from the date of execution by both the County and the successful Respondent. Prior to, or upon completion, of that initial term, the County shall have the option to renew this contract for an additional two (2) year period, on a year-to-year basis. The selected Respondent shall maintain, for the entirety of the stated additional period (s), the same prices, terms, and conditions included within the originally awarded contract. Continuation of the contract beyond the initial period, and any option subsequently exercised, is in the sole discretion of the County.
