Renovation of a residential development in Tacoma, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
2.2. Instructions to Bidders For a quote to be valid, a completed Pierce County Quotation and Contract Form and Certification of Compliance with Wage Payment Statutes Form (included in this package) must be received by the County no later than the time and date specified herein or as amended through addendum. Vendor must use the Pierce County Quotation and Contract Form; vendors forms are not acceptable. Additionally, for a quote to be valid, there can be no bidder submitted variations to the Statement of Work or other terms presented in the Request for Quotation package. Any questions bidders have with regard to the Statement of Work must be submitted to the County Point of Contact in writing 48 hours prior to the quotation submission cut-off date and time. 2.3. Bonds and Retainage A bid bond will not be required for this work. For Public Works contracts less than or equal to $50,000 including tax and purchase services contracts which include services requiring the payment of prevailing wages less than or equal to $50,000 including tax, the County shall waive retainage and bonding but will retain the right of recovery against the Contract for any payments made on the Contractor's behalf. 2.4. Prevailing Wage Information This project requires the payment of prevailing wages per chapter 39.12 RCW. Workers shall receive no less than the prevailing rate of wage for their work on this locally funded project. To find applicable wage rates please follow the following steps: Access theL&I website Look up applicable wages using the project quote due date noted above. This project will be located in Pierce County. If work will be performed outside of Pierce County, please select the county appropriate to the location of work. A copy of prevailing wage rates for this project are available at the Pierce County Procurement & Contract services (PCPC) office for review. A copy may also be mailed to you upon request. Please contact Pierce County Contract Compliance for additional information at (253) 798-7456. 2.5. Contract Time The notice to proceed will be issued within five (5) to ten (10) calendar days of the execution of the Contract by the County. Should there be reasons why the notice to proceed cannot be issued within such period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the County and Contractor. All project work shall be completed within 90 calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the County. 2.6. Compliance with Program Standards All work is to be completed in accordance with the specifications provided for each project, herein, and additional weatherization specifications, per the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Standard Work Specifications (SWS) and Washington State Department of Commerce Weatherization Manual, available upon request. Question Submission Deadline:May 8, 2023, 2:00pm Job Specifications This project is a double wide mobile home located in Puyallup, Washington. The residence was built in 1968 and is in good condition. The residence is 940 SqFt. Roof is mobile roof and replacement is part of the scope. The home has a new HWT and new power panel. Pierce County Human Services staff will meet winning bidder on-site prior to work beginning. Installation of weatherization measures outlined in attached pricing spreadsheet. Work includes electrical measures. All work is subject to local codes and jurisdictional rules. Lead-safe work practices are expected. Contractor will perform all work outlined in scope. Subcontractors are allowed. The contractor is responsible for obtaining any and all necessary permits. The contractor is responsible for filing intent/affidavits. Pursuant to weatherization program rules; no sales tax will be charged on materials installed. Installation must meet the Department of Commerce requirements for weatherization. The Contractor shall provide material warranty and specifications to the County and homeowner.
