Removal and replacement of Joint Sealant between the exterior granite panels on the Administration Building located at 300 Monroe Avenue Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Once project is started, work will be continuous until the point of completion by September 30, 2023. Kent County, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to award to the Respondent whose response is deemed most advantageous to Kent County. Where price is a consideration, project schedule will also be considered in evaluating this award. SCOPE The Kent County Administration Building has 3 levels of exterior elevations. A photo is included for reference. Remove all existing joint sealants and backer rod from joints between granite panels and replace with new backer rod (where required) and Tremco Spectrum 3 silicone caulk or equivalent per manufacture's recommendations of application. No caulking of windows is included in this scope. Color of joint sealant shall match as close as possible to the existing joint sealant color. Alternate solutions may be considered. Please attach with your bid. Mobilize and provide all necessary tools, equipment, and materials to complete joint sealant replacement work. This includes providing a lift and/or lifts to the jobsite to safely access all high work. Weight of any lifts or equipment must not exceed Calder plaza weight limits: 100 pounds/square foot or 2,000-pound point load of 20-SqIn or 20,000-pound maximum load. The Calder Plaza is utilized as an event space on many weekends. Vendor set-up is done during the weekdays leading up to the weekend event. The contractor may need to work around to avoid material set-up and workspace conflicts. A schedule of events can generally be provided a month in advance. (Link to Calder Plaza Events). The building is occupied by staff and public Monday - Friday. Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondent. Kent County will award and contract for the goods and services in this Solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. In no event will notification of award be more than 45 days from the date of submission. The Kent County Standard Submission Terms posted on the Bid Opportunities page of the Kent County Purchasing Division website are incorporated by reference and shall be deemed to have the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein.
