Knox County, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking to retain the services of a professional engineering consultant to prepare plans and permits for the construction of a new intersection improvement at State Route 131 and Beaver Ridge Road in the Karns Community. Responsibilities of the professional engineering consultant include but are not limited to 1) environmental documentation, 2) preparation of engineering design plans based on preliminary conceptual layouts, 3) preparation of engineering construction plans, 4) acquisition of necessary permits, 5) construction bidding assistance and 6) responding to construction Requests for Information (RFIs). State Project Number: 47LPLM-S3-222 Federal Project Number: N/A Project Pin: 133355.00 All TDOT design standards and specifications will be followed. This project is subject to the environmental reviews pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). All Design Services must be performed in accordance with the latest edition of the TDOT Right of Way Manual and the latest edition of the TDOT Local Government Guidelines for the Management of Federal and State Funded Transportation Projects. Consultant invoicing and payment for services will be administered by Knox County in accordance with TDOT guidelines.
