Site work for a water / sewer project in Lafleche, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The existing waste cell at the landfill is required to be decommissioned and reclaimed. The existing cell has a surface area of 1.62ha and was permitted to only receive municipal waste during its operation. The landfill is currently in operation as a transfer station and will be temporarily closed prior to construction and during the decommissioning activiites. The scope of work for the project includes the construction of the final engineered cover, storm water management, removal of existing infrastructure, and reclamation activities including clay capping, topsoild placement and seeding, to ensure it is in conformance with the surrounding lands and future intended use.
