**As of May 22, 2023, project was awarded to Construction Inc., and the awarded amount is $375,688.32** These Special Provisions amend or supplement the City of Lincoln Standard Specifications for Municipal Construction, 2023 Edition, and other provisions of the Contract Documents as indicated herein. All provisions that are not so amended or supplemented via these special provisions remain in full force and effect. Due to damage of the existing water main system in this area under the Salt Creek along 70 th Street, the watermain has been shut down both north and south of the existing leak in this area. The water main replacement shall begin with a water valve replacement at Station 7+45 north ofthe proposed tie in for the High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipe. The contractor shall remove existing 16" watermain from Sta 2+70 to Sta 2+85 and Sta 6+40 to Sta 7+15 and construct the HDPE pipe from Sta 2+85 to Sta 7+00. The Contractor shall construct solid sleeves at Sta 2+71 and Sta 7+15 to connect new 16" watermain and the existing 16" watermain in this area. Flushing and sampling locations to be coordinated with Lincoln Water Systems. Lincoln Water System: There are mains and services within project limits; Work shall be completed as shown on the plans. The Contractor will be required to coordinate with Lincoln Water System as needed.
