Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a road / highway; for the construction of a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Work consists of the construction of a building for the occupancy and use of the MBTA staff at the Arborway Bus Maintenance Facility located at Washington Street and Arborway in Boston, near Forest Hills station. The building will be constructed immediately adjacent to the existing mobile trailers now in use. The building will be approximately 36 ft x 73 ft. Site work from excavation, pavement restoration, utility connections, and removal/demolition of the existing (triple-wide) crew quarters is also included in this contract. The utilities include water, sewer, gas and a new electrical service connection. Questions are to be submitted no later than ten (10) days prior to the date set forth for the opening of the bids. Bid Guaranty shall consist of a bid deposit in the amount of five (5) percent of the value of the bid, in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond each for the full amount of the Contract price.
