Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Portsmouth, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Work consists of the demolition of railroad tracks (two parallel steel rails) in the areas shown on the Contract Drawings, including both an existing paved area and existing gravel area that will be included within the future secure footprint within Portsmouth Marine Terminal (PMT) for the Virginia Port Authority's Offshore Wind Staging Port project. QUESTIONS DUE DATE May 4, 2023 @ 2:00 p.m. to proposals@portofvirginia.com TIME FOR COMPLETION Work will be completed no later than June 30, 2023. The work shall be limited to the following: o Mobilization / demobilization. o Site clearing and grubbing. o Saw-cutting of existing asphalt pavement. o Demolition and removal of existing railroad tracks, ties, and ballast as specified on the drawings and per the specifications. o Removal and disposal of existing intermediate pavement and subgrade located between existing rails. o Placement of dense graded aggregate base course.
