The District is using this Best Value Bid solicitation to establish a contract with a single vendor for purchase and installation of equipment on an as needed basis for the length of the contract. District Five Schools, located in western Spartanburg County, is comprised of six elementary schools, two intermediate schools, two middle schools, and two secondary schools. In addition to these 12 facilities, there is a central administrative office building, a maintenance complex, and a variety of smaller support buildings for transportation, athletics, and storage. The District is undergoing construction at seven locations and in 2024 will consist of eight elementary schools, four middle schools and two secondary schools. District Five Schools of Spartanburg County is seeking a qualified firm to provide and install automated door access control equipment at select schools and locations. The District is using this Best Value Bid solicitation to establish a contract with a single vendor for purchase and installation of equipment on an as needed basis for the length of the contract. District Five Schools currently uses Paxton equipment on automated doors and gates. This bid is for Paxton equipment only. No other brands will be considered at this time. o Each door shall be access controlled with Paxton Net2 o The Net2 controller must be installed in a metal housing o The controller will be powered through Paxton POE+ power supply o Readers shall be Paxton P50M type readers o Doors shall use electric strikes - not maglocks o Cat6 plenum cable to each controller o Each controller shall be located nearest the door on the secured side o Reader cable shall be 8 conductor plenum rated 18 gauge o Controllers will be adopted through main campus server and integrated o Any door with removable mullion shall need a disconnect to keep function of mullion
