The Owner will furnish up to 2,300 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe for the Base Bid. Bid Alternate work includes construction of approximately 890 linear-feet of 8-inch water main on Washington Street in Westwood, MA. The Owner will not furnish any ductile iron pipe or other materials for the Bid Alternate A work. Water main construction includes installation of pipe, hydrants, valves, and fittings, abandonment of existing water main, transfer of water services, and all other appurtenances. The scope of work of the Base Bid includes construction of approximately 2,200 linear-feet of 8- inch ductile iron water main on Brookfield Road and Beacon Street in Westwood, MA. Water main construction includes installation of pipe, hydrants, valves, and fittings, abandonment of existing water main, transfer of waterservices, and all other appurtenances. Additionally, the scope of work includes the furnishing, installation, and removal of temporary water main. The Owner will furnish up to 2,300 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe for the Base Bid. All other materials required to complete the project, including additional 8-inch ductile pipe as needed, hydrants, valves, fittings, and water service materials shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor
