Question Deadline 05/08/2023 Electronically via email to sdistance@wmata.com The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is requesting bids to establish a contract for multi-year (one (1) contract year with four (4) option periods) vegetation control contract for ground maintenance of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's (WMATA) Automatic Train Control (ATCM) and Traction Power Maintenance (TRPM) facilities, Traction Power Substations (TPSS), Train Control Rooms (TCR), and ancillary areas. Grass and weeds typically grow high around traction power substations and train control rooms. Snakes and rodents are attracted to these areas, creating an unsafe environment for work crews performing maintenance on the equipment. These services are not for beautification or light trimming. The contractor will provide ground maintenance services to clear dense overgrown areas to allow WMATA personnel safe access to facilities including, but not limited to locations identified in Scope of Work, "8. Location of Work, Constraints, and Schedule
