H-Building (Gym) Roof Replacement - Project Description and Scope: Removal and Replacement of Roofing System 1. Demolition including removal of the existing EPDM roofing system down to the concrete decks on the upper/lower roofs as well as the two stairwell roofs. Removal of gutters/downspouts, roof drain assemblies, perimeter blocking, fascia nailers and flashing as detailed on the attached drawing. .2 Inspection ofthe rooffor damages. Report any damage to DOC Project Manager. 3. Provide and install new EPDM roofing system over the properly prepared substrate including flashing and roof drains. Install new pressure treated lumber under all roof curbs as necessary. Note: Minimum height from top of new roof system to top of curb shall be 12" > Install new pressure treated lumber around perimeter to match existing board width and the height of new insulation. > Where necessary install new pressure treated lumber fascial boards around perimeter prior to installing edge metal > Increase height of exhaust and or intake air units as necessary to accommodate new insulation height. Note: Minimum height from top of new roof system to bottom of exhaust/intake opening shall be 12" > Install all finish metal and gutters per specifications. SDVOBE participation on the Project is 3%.
