Project includes removal of existing 8' wide wooden boardwalk, posts and plate footings. Construct concrete abutments and construct new 8' wide wood boardwalk (approximately 380' long +/-). New boardwalk will be installed on helical piles (42 total piles), with estimated depth of 32' based upon geotechnical exploration requirements. Existing and proposed boardwalk is 2'-3' above existing grade. Contractor should visit site prior to bidding to view project location and access. Remove and dispose existing wood boardwalk, frame existing footings. Existing boardwalk sits on metal footings that are generally between at grade to a couple feet into the ground with plate footings. B. Construction of 8' boardwalk, helical piles for support and concrete abutments. The boardwalk is approximately 380 linear feet (not including abutments). C. Perform surface restoration work, cleanup work, and any work incidental to the above. The contractor shall make every effort to minimize disturbance of the site, particularly in the wetland area. All disturbed areas shall be restored to existing or better condition. D. Perform all other miscellaneous work shown on the plans and included in the specifications. work will commence work on June 26, 2023; completion- May 24, 2024.
